# Brand Import Turn an existing identity into a considered starting point. Brand Import helps you start from the brand you already have: a website, screenshots or supported brand files. It produces a proposed brand profile and design recipe for review in Theme Studio. ## Bring a reference Enter Studio through the brand setup flow and choose the supported input type. Provide a representative URL or clear reference assets. A page full of third-party images may provide less useful brand evidence than a focused styleguide or core product screen. The import runs as a job. Wait for its completion and review any error before using the result. Website access, supported formats and extraction quality affect what can be inferred. ## Review the proposal Review colors, typography, logos and brand assets, then inspect the generated component preview. Extracted information is a starting point, not proof of your brand guidelines. Confirm that the semantic palette supports light and dark surfaces. Check headings and body text independently. Look for accidental colors picked from illustrations rather than your interface. ## Refine in Studio Apply deliberate corrections in [Theme Studio](/docs/theme-studio/). Use your actual guidelines when they disagree with an inferred recipe. Inspect the styleguide preview and its Markdown export before sharing it with the team or an agent. ## Keep the boundary clear Brand Import creates design-system foundations. It does not clone a website’s layout or import arbitrary shadcn source. [Open Brand Import](https://app.frontfriend.dev/studio) to start with your own identity.
